| Desroches Island, remote and unspoiled, is the largest island of the Amirantes group situated 240km or a 35-minutes’ flight from Mahé.
Secreted beneath the shade of coconut palms, it has 15km of immaculate beaches, crystal blue waters and is protected by its own coral reef.
The resort boasts 20 junior suites against a setting of powder-soft sands and waving palms. Rich in corals and marine life, Desroches offers excellent opportunities for diving, deep-sea and fly-fishing and other facilities such as windsurfs, a fleet of canoes, and pedal boats.
Activities include tennis on the floodlit court, pétanque (bowls) and practice on the golf range. Desroches Island Resort re-opened its doors in August 2003 following renovation and refurbishment of all rooms.
Desroches Island is a member of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World portfolio. |
